Okay, so this image doesn't perfectly match our passage in John 4 but it's pretty close. Also, I should point out that today's passage in 2 Kings (and continuing to chapter 25) will help you understand the book of Jeremiah. It describes Jeremiah's context, his country's people and their struggles.
